What's New - Week 12

3 months in and what a ride it's been. If you're reading this somewhere down the line, hi from May 2026, things were exciting around here.

Quick celebration moment, then back to work.

We made it past our 3 month birthday!

Site visits absolutely exploded this past month. Halfway through May and we've already passed all of last month's totals. That's over 100% growth in a single month. Thank you, genuinely, that's all you.

Google's also starting to notice us. We went from a couple hundred search hits a month to well over a thousand. Working on adding another zero to that number soon.

No champagne yet though, this industry is tough to crack and we're not letting up.

What's new the past couple of weeks

* Opportunities section is live (empty right now, but watch this space). * You can now choose to only show your profile to logged in clients. Head to your account settings if you'd like to switch this on. Signup got a lot simpler. Less faff, more profile. * Plus all the usual fixes and improvements behind the scenes. The thankless stuff nobody sees but somebody has to do. * Photographers tab is up for Gauteng ladies. If you're in Gauteng and not verified yet, reach out to one. (remember, luvr.co.za is free for you, photos are not. a Photographer have to travel to you [seen gas prices lately?], use expensive camera to take your photos, and spend between 1 and 2 hours editing your photos using paid software. Ask yourself what 2-3 hours of your time is worth and you will realize getting charged a few hundred bucks are a pretty good bargain, plus you get a set of photos without watermark that's yours to use for whatever you feel like) Quick reminder about what actually works to get your profile noticed. Some ladies are having massive success here): Verified profiles with clear photos and the "Available Now" feature absolutely fly. Verification is only possible in Gauteng for now (chat to a photographer), but the photos and Available Now part is on you.

Just earlier today I was looking at a profile in another province. All her own photos, clear and sexy, and she's getting several bookings a week through luvr.co.za. She's putting the work in.

You've got to meet us halfway. Blurry photos taken in 2019 aren't going to do you any favors.

What we're working on next:

* More client side functionality and paid memberships for the punters. Which means, please keep referring them. Every paying client will helps us keep the lights on and the site growing.

* We'll also be making the Forum fully functional, plus a pile of other bits and pieces.

* Photographers in other provinces We know you want this. We want it too. But we're moving slowly here on purpose. One bad photographer running off with your money would wreck our reputation, and that reputation matters to us a lot. So we're being careful, for your sake as much as ours. It's coming, just not rushed.
